Oakland County (MI) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated Memorial Scholarship Application

The Oakland County Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is committed to aid students who are graduates of the Pontiac and Southfield School systems, as a way to ensure that they have continued opportunities for higher education, inclusive of vocational and trade school degree/certificate programs. These scholarships will be awarded based on need and/or academic qualifications.

Instructions (please read carefully):

1. To complete the application process, your packet must include the following documents:
A. Completed Application (Parts I, II and III);
B.  High School Seniors:  MOST RECENT, FULL high school transcript
Postsecondary School Attendees (All applicants who received a high school diploma in 2023 or later and are pursuing further education or training at a college, university, vocational or trade school):  MOST RECENT, FULL postsecondary transcript
You may upload your MOST RECENT, FULL high school or college transcript within this application, OR;
Transcripts can be emailed directly from your school district, an authorized vendor or from the institution where you are currently enrolled.
PDFs are preferred, however screenshots, images or scans will be accepted.  Please make sure that your name, student ID, and school name are visible.
Transcripts emailed directly from your school or an approved vendor should be emailed to OCCLinksMemorialScholarship@gmail.com no later than April 10, 2025;
Transcripts must reflect a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
C. An essay outlining your college goals and describing your strategies to overcome obstacles. (500 words). This essay must be uploaded to the application as indicated within the form.
2. Please ensure that the application is signed by both student and parent/guardian. (Parent signature is required for high school seniors only).

Winners will be announced by April 25, 2025.
 
*To receive the Links Memorial Scholarship, graduating seniors must enroll in their chosen educational institution on or before the beginning of the Fall semester (~August, 2025).
