2023 Oakland County Links Scholarships

For 40 years the Oakland County (MI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has actively worked to enrich the lives of those we serve in Oakland County. We are committed to the well-being of the African American community, conduct service projects to improve the community, and empower the leaders of tomorrow by providing academic scholarships. We are one of 288 Links chapters worldwide, members of one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of professional women of color.

The Oakland County Links award need-based scholarships to Black students pursuing undergraduate degrees or enrolled in a certificate program. Students are recognized for their leadership capacity, community service, and academic success. Through the generosity of our donors, we are pleased to provide these financial opportunities in support of deserving students with financial need as they pursue their educational endeavors.

Our scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors and to past awardees who are currently enrolled in a two or four-year academic program, or in a certificate program.

Scholarships range from $500 to $2000 and may cover books, tuition and/or stipends. Preference will be given to students majoring in a science, technology, engineering, art or math STEAM program.
